Superbaby and digi-freebie
Firstly the freebie, because we all know that’s probably why you’re here… LOL But I’m gonna be super mean and make you wait just a little bit while I organise a couple of things and make an announcement. Still, here’s what the kit looks like, you’ll just have to come back soon for the download details!

So yep, it’s official, Lukey is Superbaby (just need to find him a cape). Rather than go on and on about what my gorgeous wee 12 week old is doing, I thought I’d just list what he’s doing waaay early. In fact, according to Plunket, he’s doing a lot of things that don’t usually come in until around 5-6 months of age. Slow down little dude, I want to enjoy your babyhood a bit longer thanks!
- Ok I SWEAR he’s said mummy 3 times and mummy daddy once already. Plunket says it’s not common but they can mimic their siblings really well and he probably doesn’t know what he’s saying and is likely to forget it again. The weird thing is he only does it when he’s wanting me to get him a bottle, never when he’s just chatting to me… hmmm I consider myself a rational person who totally realises my children aren’t perfect but come on…
- He’s already rolled over twice (albiet most likely by accident) but has lost all his baby responses. He’s no longer pulling his feet up when you hold him and is putting a fair amount of weight on his legs if I stand him up while holding him (must have my thighs… poor kid)
- He’s intensely interested in watching us eat, Plunket says to hold off on solids until at least 4 months but he’s definitely going to be one that’ll be starting early. I mean 4 months? gimme a break, I’m not ready for that stage yet…
- He has great head control (has had since birth) and has been responding to me with laughs since 3 weeks old (again something my midwife didn’t really believe until I showed her the video!!). Thank God I got that on record or you’d be thinking I was completely out of my head…
And just so you know I’m not just a besotted mum (although I am) who thinks my little guy’s walk on water and are totally perfect, I’ve found a flaw with Lucas – his left ear sticks out terribly! LOL.. it’s true, for some reason one ear just sticks out and I’m hoping he grows into it…
See? only 99.99% perfect…
