Just Because
And here’s the other layout I did… he looks like he’s exploring a garden in this layout so I thought the title was appropriate…
More Basic Grey Basics, Cappella, some Amy Butler paper, along with more Twiddleybitz goodness…

Scrapbooking,
Twiddleybitz
I went to a crop last night (yes I know, don’t fall off your chairs)… it’s the first time I’ve cropped with other people in about 18 months and I really enjoyed it. Mum came along as well as my cousin Mary-Elizabeth and I managed to get two pages done (well three if you include the one I helped with)… lol.
Anyway I’m totally in love with Basic Grey again, it’s a recurring affair and they’re soooooo back in trend. Here’s the first of the layouts I did of Lukey with the basics and Cappella lines from BG, with some Twiddleybitz thrown in for good measure.
Other one coming shortly…

Just Because
5 months ago the lovely Alice gave birth to the very gorgeous Ethan, and a family (with Nathan) was born. I loved the photos she had taken shortly after his birth and asked if I could scrap them, and she very graciously said yes! So here’s the layout, for Alice.

It features the lovely Nero range of black Twiddleybitz wrought iron looking elements, I LOVE these and they need nothing doing to them they’re so gorgeously detailled. I also used the new Basic Grey Cappella range of papers, plus some Anna Griffin and a bit of Prima thrown in to add those gorgeous details.

Family Updates
definitely picking up speed…
Lucas will be 8 months old on the 22nd and I’m still wondering how that happened!?! He’s trying to talk and we’re getting lots of dadada’s and bababa’s… still he said mummy at 4 months old so I win! lol
He’s also a great eater and will give anything a go, in fact he’s only refused one thing since he started on solids and that was because he was sick. Now if only we can get him sleeping through the night. The last few nights have been shocking but we’ve started him on Tart Cherry juice. It’s wonderful stuff for everything from inflammation to sleep issues so we’re hoping that in a few days we might get our first sleep through the night (or close enough to it) in months. Keep you posted…

Family Updates,
Scrapbooking
No you haven’t stumbled on Nic H’s blog… but I can relate. It HAS been one of those days. One of those weeks actually.
Lukey’s been vomiting on and off for about 3 days and I’ve managed to get NOTHING done so I’ve been totally stressed trying to catch up. Oh well… the good news is that the little guy is on the mend, so now we just need him to sleep at night! He’s been shocking the last few nights, very unsettled and getting us up every half hour or so, if it’s a tooth I wish it would just come through already. He does this and then gets me up usually between 5-6am. I’m not a bird. I don’t ‘do’ dawn. Fingers crossed he comes right soon.
Sooo to continue on I got my layout back from Scrapbook Creations the other day, it’s in the top 10 part of the issue on sale now (issue 78). Love being published, bit of a shame the layout was turned on it’s side (doesn’t matter as I accidently stuck the photo on upside down anyway lol)… but it happens and I’m still happy to be in the magazine with this layout:

The gallery is for things that shimmer and there’s lots of details that don’t get picked up by the camera.
There’s also a double pager on my work for Twiddleybitz on pages 10 and 11 with full instructions on how I’ve created them
very cool to be featured like that!!
We had a garage sale last Saturday, managed to get rid of some stuff and donated a lot to the Hospice shop too. We decided beforehand whatever didn’t go at the sale was getting given, so we did. I’ve still got a tonne of stuff to list on Trade Me as well but I can finally see some spaces around the house
Lucas is growing fast and showing a fondness for all things he shouldn’t be touching, like my scrapping ribbons…

Yes it’s blurry, he’s constantly moving and yep, HE’S CRAWLING!! He finally figured it out a couple of days ago so it’s time to lock up everything!
We took the boys to Chipmunks the other day too and Lukey had a ride on the wee ferris wheel thingy, he was a bit scared but still did the ‘no hands’ bit.

Yep another crappy photo, hanging out for my DSLR camera that Santa’s bringing me
And finally a wee $2 shop find that’s brought endless giggles in the house (Neen if you’re reading this I saw the pic of your nephew)…

oops here comes the thunder… better get the washing in!
